Imperial Beach Bars & Grills

The Crystal Cove

"We are the best because we have a great relaxed atmosphere. Cheap drinks...lots of fun! Newly remodeled! It's the cleanest bar in town! Great music and the best people! We have live bands most Saturdays."-Crystal

The Crystal Cove is favorite bar among my friends and I. I have been to this bar on many occasion. I was even here as a grooms men for a wedding reception.

I have seen the live music from Rockabilly (R.I.P Carson) to Hip Hop DJ's. The Crystal Cove is one bar you should make it a point to visit!

Ye Ol Plank Inn

This is not an Inn, it's a Bar, sometimes serving food. A typical, friendly, neighborhood bar. It is the oldest (1886-1888) surviving building in IB, and the oldest (1969) drinking establishment in Imperial Beach and it offers the largest outside patio in IB. It is also one of the friendliest places you'll find!

Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays they offer food, breakfast, lunch and it seems they're sending out feelers about dinner. Every other Thursday is Steak and Lobster night and the prices are reasonable. Operating Hours: 6 am until 2 am! Come as you are! Everyone is welcomed equally. If having a meal is not on your mind, at least stop for a drink from their full service bar and feel like a local. You can buy a souvenir shirt, jacket or hat with the Ye Olde Plank Inn logo or one of those Jimmy Buffet type hats with the shark if you want to remember your visit!

IB Forum Sports Bar & Grill

IB Forum Sports Bar & Grill is an Imperial Beach hot spot for great food & drinks. April Morgan and her son, Matt opened in July of 1992 and have been pleasing the locals ever since. The Forum is a casual, fun, neighborhood sports bar and grill located directly across from the beach. It's draw is the tasty, hearty portions & family friendly atmosphere.

The Forum is the Most Southwesterly Bar & Grill in the USA and is known as the Home of the Cook Your Own Steak. The Forum has been offering customers the opportunity to grill there own steaks long before the Morgans took over in 1992. Their Steak Menu features a Rib-Eye, New York and the steak that started it all, the 1 lb Porterhouse. Don't worry, if your not in the mood to cook a steak, the rest of the menu features great American grill classics like burgers, ribs & seafood plates. Late night diners are welcome, the kitchen stays open till 10pm.
